About this policy

VJC Studio operates PocketTune for iOS and Android. This policy describes v4.0. Older versions may have different controls; update the app to use the choices described below. Contact: support@vjconnect-software.com.

Your music and purchases

Songs, project names, patterns, settings and tutorial progress are stored on your device. No account is needed to compose. PocketTune does not automatically upload your music to our servers. Sharing sends the exported file, including its name, to the destination you choose. Operating-system backups and shared copies are handled separately. Apple App Store or Google Play processes purchases and restoration. The app uses purchase information to enable premium features; we do not receive your card number.

Optional analytics and crash reports

Usage analytics and crash reporting are separate, optional switches in Settings → Privacy. Both are OFF by default, including after updating from a version without these choices. Declining does not restrict composing, playback or saving. Turn either switch off here to withdraw consent. Advertising consent is separate.

With analytics consent, Google Firebase Analytics receives feature-use events (such as tutorial progress, saving, export and purchase completion), app-instance identifiers, and app/device information. Custom analytics events do not contain song names or notes. Analytics advertising storage and advertising personalization are disabled.

With crash-report consent, Google Firebase Crashlytics receives error details, stack traces, app/device/OS information and installation identifiers. Error details may include file paths or error messages. Reports from a session without consent are not submitted after a later opt-in. Withdrawal stops new app error recording and excludes the current session from later submission. Already transmitted data is not automatically erased by switching OFF.

Advertising

The free version uses Google AdMob for banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads. Advertising services may process IP addresses, device information, permitted advertising identifiers, and ad impressions/interactions. Where required, a Google form offers consent, refusal and detailed choices. “Ad privacy choices” in Settings, when available, lets you change them. Ad availability and type depend on your choices and operating-system permissions. On iOS, the system tracking permission is separate from both Firebase consent and Apple’s own advertising settings. Premium stops new ad requests and display; it does not delete data previously handled by ad services.

Retention, sharing and international processing

Keep or delete your projects in the app. Uninstalling does not delete exported copies, operating-system backups or store records. Service data is retained according to its purpose and the provider’s retention settings and terms. Google states that Crashlytics starts deleting report data after 90 days. Analytics and advertising retention depend on the relevant service settings; see the linked provider information below or contact us.

Google and Apple may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Their applicable data-processing terms and transfer safeguards apply. We use service providers for the purposes described here and may disclose information where required by law. We do not operate a server that stores your music.

Your choices and rights

Optional analytics and crash reporting rely on your consent. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data-protection authority. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact us to exercise rights or ask about retention and international-transfer safeguards. Depending on applicable law, advertising choices may also allow you to opt out of targeted advertising.

Children, security and updates

PocketTune is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child’s personal information has been collected. Local data uses the operating system’s app storage protections; the project format is not an encryption feature. No system can guarantee absolute security. Material policy changes will be announced through this page and app/store update information.
